A new academic year is here, and hundreds of new recruits are queuing up to join the Essex Blades. 

The University of Essex and Students’ Union are doing everything they can to prioritise student experience, but there is a limit to the funding that we can give to all 43 of our sport clubs. That’s why the Blades need your help.

As a former Essex Blade, you know the physical, mental, and social benefits that being part of a club offers. It builds resilience, confidence and leadership and is often the standout experience alumni comment on when looking back at their time at University – maybe it is for you too? 

You can give others the same opportunity you had as a Blade. A chance to stay fit, meet new people and enjoy a different focus to studying. Your donation will help more students join the Blades by lowering joining fees at a time where every penny saved matters to students.
